Despite having a degree in Marketing and Communication, Inês realized from an early age that her world would go hand in hand with the interior decoration area. It was in 2020, when moving to a new house, that he developed an even deeper love for the area by taking on his parents' home decorating project entirely. Along with this project, she also began sharing content related to the topic on her social networks where she has been charting a unique path in the area of home styling, now having a brand of decoration consultancies - CRÈME Interior Design by Inês Rodrigues.

He now has his own home, where he continues to inspire people through decoration content, home styling and lifestyle tips.

Why did you choose Cabeceiras.pt products ?

INÊS RODRIGUES: For some time I did a lot of research and never found a brand that created something as unique as we wanted for our home, as Cabeceiras.pt could offer. So it was easy to decide!

Is there a relationship between personality and home decor?

INES RODRIGUES: Yes! I really believe that our personality is reflected in our home and in the choices we make to decorate it! In our case, I think that our house totally represents us and we are not the only ones who think that.

It's good when someone knows us personally and realizes how aligned the house's style is with what we are and stand for.

What is everyday life like at home?

INES RODRIGUES: I really like being at home and enjoying it at my own pace. When I have some time in the morning, I like to leave my room tidy, the bed made and everything minimally organized, so that when I return at the end of the day, I feel a different peace and welcome.

Still, when I get home, I always take care to tidy and organize the spaces where we are and live more and in a more detailed way (vacuuming, dusting). As I am passionate about decoration, the highlight of my ideas is always when I return home and rest to study and get inspired, whether on social media or even in magazines, because I love reading.

I'm always looking for new accessories that I can add to the house and I study the space very well to understand what is really needed but also with the aim of our house serving as an inspiration to my community.

What are the daily challenges of someone passionate about decoration?

INES RODRIGUES: Honestly, one of the biggest challenges is being able to deal with my creative mind. I have a full-time job that fills me most of the day and when I get home and tackle my personal projects, ideas can either come to me very fluidly or not even appear that night.

And in line with what I mentioned at the beginning, it's also difficult sometimes to deal with so much turmoil in my head - whether it's 8 or 80 - and when I should "rest" my creative mind is constantly coming up with ideas that don't stop! It's good to have this "gift" but it is undoubtedly the most challenging to manage.

3 pieces of advice for someone who wants to start decorating their own home.

INES RODRIGUES:

- Think in advance about the style(s) you want to have in a house: modern, contemporary, minimalist style, etc... and the color palette you would like to have in each space, always being in agreement with the entire house. Then it becomes much easier when making a purchasing decision.

- Make a moodboard of everything you plan to have in each space to see if the products match each other. There are products that you may not be able to return later and may be forced to keep.

- Buy some things (that you are sure you want) in advance and make a kind of "layette", in order to take advantage of promotions and sales. On the other hand, for larger items that involve measurements, be careful not to buy them without first being in the space and evaluating how they would look in reality.
